Scholarships Have Gone Social!

This September I am going to be a senior in high school. I’ll finally be applying to colleges! That being said searching out scholarships has become a major priority! I had already known of a few great resources, but it was just a few days ago that I found a truly amazing site for students.

Zinch.com is a social networking site for students.

The college process is daunting. There are many steps, and there are no set rules for Admissions. You can be the best student but still be denied acceptance to a mediocre school. Zinch provides a platform for students to see that they are not alone. It provides students a pedestal so they can individually shine, all the while giving them a greater chance at much needed scholarships!

See, the more you interact with people on Zinch, the greater chance you have of receiving a scholarship. Zinch is a point based program, so the more people you follow, the more people that follow you, and the more you like programs, the more points you get. These points are used to determine your placement in searches made by college admissions officers as well as scholarship judges. The more you have, the greater the likelihood that you will be seen.

I have just started using the site and just by filling out my general profile I have received 40 points!

As a blogger and student, it is to my great delight that educators are finally following the times and providing today’s youth a digital alternative to a traditionally analog process.
